Getting The House Ready To Sell
Saturday, March 1st, 2008My youngest son, who’s been living with us, is planning on moving back to NC after this semester. Earl and I had the bright idea of moving there, too. After all, my oldest son also lives in NC. This way, we’d be near the family.
So we have been getting the house ready for sale. Picture a nice house filled with CD shelves and art canvas every where. Since it is not likely a buyer will want a house filled with 6 foot CD shelves, we had decided to move those shelves to the garage. After a lot of grunt work, the house looks a lot roomier. In fact, it now looks like a beautiful home! What a shocker.
Next we needed new mulch in the flower beds. So a dump truck load of mulch was delivered this morning. Son and I spent the day shoveling and moving mulch. This was an all day process, but < grin > the yard is improved by $3,000.00.
So now I’ve taken my hot shower, downed a few Advils, and sat in front of the computer. And my tummy is demanding food. I made the remark that I should get up (to fix dinner).
“Don’t move, honey!” Earl exclaimed. “You’ll only hurt!”
He’s right. Who needs food, anyway.
