I’m kind of embarrassed. My son is running around telling this story.

My Mom is a whiz at making computers do things. She can program web sites to talk with databases, she can create beautiful images, and make her own animated movies complete with sound. For the past few months she’s been on Twitter.
So imagine my surprise when I walked by and she exclaimed, “Oh! That @MediaMedley link on the right side of the page is where all the people respond to my tweets! I didn’t know that.”
She’s been on Twitter for months, and didn’t know people were Twittering back to her.
Doh! I shall have to rethink this whiz title I’d given her.

Yes, I’m a bit Twitter dense. In my defense, I’d known that @MediaMedley in a message from another person meant they were responding. I just didn’t realize that if I wanted to see all the responses with @MediaMedley in the message, I’d need to pull up the response page. I thought they should have all shown up in my profile page. (They did not.)
It seems as if everyone has their favorite Twitter app, but I’m still searching for one that treats Twitters like threaded discussions between people. Until I find that one, I’ll just keep using the Twitter site directly.
