I Think I’m A Real Artist Now
My head has been in the clouds today. My art was accepted by our local arts council to be included in the Jailhouse Art Gallery (Morganton, NC) December’s Art Sale.
Wheee! I’m so happy. If you are in the local Morganton, NC area, please come by to the opening reception of the December Art Sale at the Jailhouse Art Gallery on Thursday, December 3rd, 5:00 – 7 pm.
I just realized that my art will be in two art galleries this December. In addition to the Jailhouse Art Gallery showing where I’ll fill 8′ by 8′ of wall space with my art, I also have a submission in at the Art House Gallery, located at 309 Peters St, Atlanta, GA 30313. The submission at the Art House Gallery is a one day show on December 11 as part of the “10,000 people interpret one word project”. The word was Chair. My submission was Rejection At Twilight. Should I be lucky enough to win some sort of honors, this piece would be included in a limited edition art book.
This is weird feeling. I think I’m a “real” artist now.
Good thing I’m getting my own space for a studio in the 3rd bedroom. It looks like I need to get back to painting!

Congrats, that is awesome!
P.S. I finally added my ad. Took a bit of thinking what to do with it! Thanks!
